Pillsbury Candy Cane Crunch RollsKelsey Banfield
My husband was asked to bring something to work the other day and I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare. I decided to make some sweet rolls, but skip the homemade dough part and use a Pillsbury-prepared dough to make some candy cane crunch rolls. Given that it is the holiday season I knew it would be great idea to doctor up the dough with a little minty flavor and crunch.
To make these rolls I began preparations as instructed but took a sharp deviation when it came to finishing touches. I added a single drop of peppermint extract to the icing and sprinkled it with some crushed candy canes. They were such a fun, easy treat to pull together!

About 10 mini-candy canes, crushed
2 drops peppermint extract
1 cup white frosting (store-bought is fine)
1. Prepare the dinner rolls as instructed on the box. Baked until just golden. Meanwhile, crush the candy canes and set aside.
2. Mix the peppermint extract thoroughly with one cup of frosting. When the rolls have cooled frost them with the mint frosting and garnish with crushed candy canes.
