Pillsbury Clementine Brownie Bites with Clementine FrostingKelsey Banfield
It is not an exaggeration to say I have a bazillion clementines in a big bowl on my kitchen table. I love that they come in such huge quantities, but sometimes it is a challenge to eat them before they come sour. The other day I had a box of Pillsbury brownie bites to make and some clementines on hand so I decided to add a little clementine juice and zest to the batter. I even added some to the can of Pillsbury frosting I had on hand!
As I’d hoped, the added juice and zest gave the brownies a terrific zippy orange flavor and made them taste like chocolate dipped orange peels. My daughter even loved the orangey frosting, it gave her favorite Pillsbury snack a whole new life!
Pillsbury Clementine Brownie Bites
1 box Pillsbury brownie bites
1 can Pillsbury whipped frosting
Mix the Pillsbury brownie batter with two tablespoons of water and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed clementine juice and 2 teaspoons clementine zest. Bake according to directions. Meanwhile, stir 1 teaspoons of clementine zest and 1 teaspoon of clementine juice into 1/2 cup of the frosting and mix well.
Once the brownies have cooled frost them with the clementine frosting and enjoy!
