Pizza Nachos


Who says you can’t combine foods ; ) Pizza Nachos combine two of my favorite cuisines: Italian and Mexican. Not to mention it combines two classic dishes: pizza with nachos. It’s a cinch to pull together and your kids will thank you for it. Trust me. This is great for everyone to have their own plate and add the toppings of their choice. If you’d like to melt your cheese, just assemble everything onto an ovenproof dish and place under the broiler for a second. Voila, melted cheese.

Pizza Nachos
What you’ll need:

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 onion – minced
1 pound ground beef
1 cup spaghetti/pizza sauce
tortilla chips
mozzarella cheese
toppings of choice

What to do:
1. Heat a deep sided pan over medium-high heat. When hot add  onion and beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until meat is brown and cooked through. Stirring as necessary. Drain any excess fat and discard.

2. Reduce heat to medium, add spaghetti/pizza sauce and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes.

3. Arrange tortilla chips on plate. Top with meat mixture, cheese and toppings of choice.
