Quick COOL WHIP Caramel Apple Dip

By Brooke McLay |

We’re seconds away from summertime–school ends tomorrow–and I found myself frantically walking the aisles of the grocery store today, piling up on snacks. Once the kids are home all day, it seems they eat so much more than they do when on a regular school routine, six hours of studying and sitting and sucking in math facts. But, come the season of swimming pools and sunshine and I suddenly find myself with ravenous hunger pains around the clock.

Which is why this quick, simple recipe for Caramel Apple Dip is the perfect answer to all my summertime snack woes. It takes just seconds to make, has three simple ingredients, and tastes great!

If you’re looking for a perfectly quick, snappy snack–whether it’s summertime or anytime–you’re going to love this easy Caramel Apple Dip!

Quick COOL WHIP Caramel Dip

  • 1 (8 ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
  • 1 small container dulce de leche OR vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup ice cream caramel
  • 3-5 apples, sliced

Stir the COOL WHIP Whipped Topping together with the yogurt until smooth. Add the caramel sauce and swirl into the yogurt mixture with a spoon. Serve with sliced apples and enjoy!

This sounds so easy and looks tasty…definitely an appropriate dip for the summer time. I may sub this in for fruit instead of yogurt dip. The swirls make it look very appetizing…YUM!

Ooh. I like this idea better than just dipping apples in the caramel sauce from the store. I find that to be too sweet. This dip has yogurt, so I can tell myself it’s the healthier option. :)

My kids are a big fan of apple slice and peanut butter but this one looks like it would be a good desert in place of a snack. Yeah, it’s settled, i’m excited about this one :)

  5. Janice says:

Yum! I usually find caramel dipping sauce to be too heavy (and messy!) but it seems like the cool whip would really help with this problem. What a sweet way to get my kids to eat more apples!

Now that’s an afternoon snack to get the kids excited for and oh how they will love making this dip and creating their own swirls!

  7. mommyfriend says:

I love this idea. So much better than that sugary-artifically flavored store bought caramel. I can see how the COOL WHIP paired with yogurt would make a creamy consistency too. And hey, anything that gets us to eat more apples is always good!

This would be a hit at my house for sure! My younger two love anything with a dip, and my 8 year old would be all over the caramel! Thanks for this awesome idea.

This looks like the perfect treat (and an easy way to get my kids to eat more fruit!)
