Quick Food Craft: Rolo PencilsKelsey Banfield
I saw these on Pinterest the other day and got such a kick out of them I had to try them myself. I mean, what kid wouldn’t get a kick out of these. I really don’t make a habit of giving my daughter candy bars, but she loved making this craft and I just let her enjoy two Rolo per day until they were all gone. I can totally see handing these out as party favors or to teachers on the first day of school!
How to Make Rolo Pencils
1 roll of Rolo
Yellow construction paper
1 Hershey’s Kiss
1 Pink gumdrop
1. Cut the construction paper so that it wraps around the Rolo pack once, with a slight overlap and glue it down. Make sure the overhang is about 1/2-inch per side. on the bottom and top.
2. Glue the Hershey’s kiss to one end of the Rolo. Trim the overhang of the paper as needed so the Kiss fits. I tucked in the bottom of the overhang so that it folded over the end of the Rolo.
3. Glue the gumdrop on the other end of the Rolo and trim the overhang as needed so the gumdrop shows prominently. Draw a #6 on the yellow paper!
