Red White and Blueberry Parfaits

I am obsessed with these new little glasses I bought at Ikea last week. They have already become Kitchen VIPs — perfect for the girls drinks at dinner, perfect for glasses of chilled rose on the patio, and perfect for Parfaits! (Wait, isn’t that French for Perfect???) In honor of our country’s upcoming birthday, I made these just-the-right-size desserts. They are simply the assembly of storebought pound cake (I used the drinking glasses to “cut” a round of cake that would fit), fresh blueberries that were heated a bit with sugar and lemon so they’d be saucey, and freshly whipped cream. I topped with strawberries to complete the requisite red-white-and-blue trifecta.
