It’s an amazing pantry item to have in your kitchen. One big tub which costs around $10 should last you a few long weeks. Of course – in my house, I go through a giant tub of this stuff in a few weeks easily. I sprinkle it on everything from mashed potatoes, to veggies to rice and quinoa. And one night I added it to my hash browns for pure hash brown bliss! Something about the flaky, crispy, decadent potatoes infused with a light dusting of nutritional yeast that was simply perfect.

Savory Hash Browns
2 cups sauteed hash browns – sauteed in safflower oil and vegan butter
1-2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp maple syrup (for a savory-sweet accent)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
optional: handful of vegan cheddar cheese
About 1 minute before you turn the heat off on your hash browns, fold in the nutritional yeast.
