We all know how to select healthy foods, but life has a way of derailing even the most disciplined eaters. Recently Self magazine released their 2012 Healthy Food Awards, a helpful guide to the most nutritious pre-made healthy foods out there. The winning foods and drinks were selected based on predetermined criteria such as fat, sugar, and sodium content, and overall flavor. Covering categories like snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks, the Healthy Food Awards offer a variety of options for sensible food choices, even when a whole food home cooked meal isn’t an option.
