Whenever anyone (adults or kids!) needs a snack at my mother-in-law’s house, she opens the fridge, grabs a few ingredients and starts rolling! I have heard the words “Would you like a roll-up?” come from her mouth more times than I can count!
Meat and cheese roll-ups are a great after-school snack, filled with protein and wholesome ingredients but also very tasty and easy to tailor to each person. Do you like ham and swiss together? Done. Turkey and Boursin cheese? No prob! And they’re so easy to make you won’t mind being a short-order cook at snack time – or sending the kids into the kitchen to make the roll-ups themselves!
Meat and Cheese Roll-Ups
- Your favorite sliced deli meat
- Your favorite sliced deli cheese
- Your favorite veggies, chopped bite-sized, optional
- Mustard or cheese spreads, optional
Place the sliced deli meat flat on your plate. Lay a piece of cheese on top. Feel free to spread with cream cheese, mustard or any other yummy spreads. Lay your favorite chopped veggies along one side of the roll-up. Start rolling on the end that has veggies (if adding) and roll up! Super quick, super tasty!
