Few things go better with a cold winter evening than a mug of stout. But let’s say you’re not much a of a stout drinker. Let’s say you’re more of a cake eater. That doesn’t mean you can’t partake in the joy that is hunkering down with a stout while the wind blows. It means you just need to hunker down with a big old slice of our chocolate stout cake.
This was a first-time recipe for us when we were looking for something special to make for a friend’s birthday, but it turned out to be so delicious, we’ll definitely be making it again. As you can see in the photo, we opted for an immense cake with three layers, but to make it a little more manageable, feel free to cut down the recipe and make it two layers, or even just one if you’re baking for only a couple.
