Simple Summer Suppers: Tortellini with Pesto Sauce

By bellalimento |

Here is a quick dinner or lunch pasta option that you can have on the table in approximately 10 minutes. That’s right just ten minutes and you can be enjoying Tortellini with Pesto Sauce. We adore all types of pestos but the traditional basil pesto is my favorite. I grow an obsessive amount of basil each year so I can make fresh pesto.
It couldn’t be simpler to make.  If you’d like to make your own pesto you can find my PESTO RECIPE HERE.

Tortellini with Pesto Sauce
What you’ll need:
9 ounces cheese tortellini
2 tablespoons pesto
extra virgin olive oil

What to do:
1. Place a pot of generously salted water onto boil. Cook tortellini according to package directions.

2. Drain tortellini and transfer to serving bowl. Top with pesto. Toss to combine. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on top.

Serve immediately.
