Looking for healthy summer sippers – boozy or not? Jill McRae, mom and Chief Tastemaker for True Beverages (made in Canada without additives or preservatives) has some great ideas for sangria, party punch and even popsicles, made with blueberry and black currant juices – tasty and different, perfect to have on hand when the temperature soars and you don’t want to resort to going for slurpees.
“Before you reach for the rosé,” says McRae, “consider fixing yourself and your loved ones a drink with superfruits. Not only are they rich in antioxidants, but those sweet-smelling berries are great for the brain, heart and overall health.”
She shared a few cool summer drink ideas – with alcohol and without – that are perfect for patio parties or hanging out at the beach.
Squeezed for time? Mix this sangria the day before and it will be just as tasty. The not-so-secret ingredient to this sangria is new TrueBlack juice made from grape, blackberry and aronia berry juice.
