Hey, You. We wanna take you out tonight. To one of those fancy places. You know, those places where you eat food that makes you grin with delight. One of those places where they serve up fancy schmancy stuff…like Bananas Foster.  One of those places where you don’t need real silverware because you use your fingers, baby. And, okay, so maybe this place is the backyard grill. And sure, you’re gonna need a napkin big enough for four.

But your face is in for a treat, because holy holy, honey. On the menu tonight is Bananas Foster Ice Cream S’mores. They’re crazy naughty. Like a s’more and an ice cream sandwich had a love child with Bananas Foster flambe. Surprisingly simple to make, you’ll pop some foil up top your grill, then put it all together in minutes. It’s so good, we guarantee tonight will be the best night out you’ve ever tasted.

Grilled Bananas Foster Ice Cream S’mores

Makes 4 s’mores

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons Market Pantry butter
  • 1 tablespoon rum
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 8 Market Pantry graham crackers halves
  • 4 squares good-quality chocolate
  • 4 scoops Market Pantry vanilla ice cream

Slice bananas into 8 long strips. Place in the center of a large piece of foil. Dot with pats of butter, drizzle with rum, sprinkle with brown sugar. Roll the edges of the foil up around the butter, place on a hot grill and cook for 5-8 minutes, or until the bananas are golden brown.

Place a piece of chocolate on top of each of 4 graham cracker halves. Place two slices of brulee’d banana on top of the chocolate. Put a scoop of ice cream on top of the banana. Top with graham cracker half. Serve immediately with napkins! This recipe is messy, but sooooo good!

Alternately, use toasted marshmallows instead of ice cream.
