The general method for making snow ice cream is to mix together a lot of fresh snow, cream, sugar, and flavorings. The possibilities are nearly endless and today I am going to share my FAVORITE snow ice cream recipe: Chocolaty Chocolate Chip with Warm Maple Syrup. I’ve never actually shared this anywhere before, so consider this an exclusive event. It is creamy, chocolatey and a total snap to make! Here’s how it goes:
Chocolate Chip Snow Ice Cream with Warm Maple Syrup
Gather up a gallon of VERY fresh snow, and place it in a large metal bowl outside. Mix it with 3/4 cup of sugar, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/3 cup of cocoa powder. Then warm up some maple syrup on the stovetop, and pour it over the snow ice cream. It will firm up and become a kind of ice-cream with toffee on top that is absolutely delicious.
