Strawberry Festival: Rides, Headliners and Strawberries!Ole & Shaina Olmanson
Florida’s Strawberry Festival is one of the Top 50 Fairs in North America based around the Florida agriculture and history. Did you know that over 8,000 acres of strawberries are planted in the Plant City area of Florida every year? That’s a lot of strawberries and a lot of strawberry farms, so it’s only right that they should party hard.
This year’s Strawberry Festival runs March 3-13, 2011. It boasts a full midway of games and free headlining acts at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. every day. You could see Kenny Rogers, The Judds, Clint Black, Rick Springfield and more! Check out the special Ride-A-Thon days if you’re a midway junkie!

Strawberry Crepes: Simple and sweet, this treat is perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Triple Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries: not once, not twice, but three times these strawberries get a chocolate coating of different shades.
Red, White and Blue Margaritas: Strawberry meets blueberry and lime in this patriotic treat.
Canned Strawberry Preserves: The canning basics to save those strawberries for all year long.
Strawberry Lemon Coffee Cake: Taken from my mom’s favorite rhubarb coffee cake and flipped into one that glorifies the perfect red berries.
Strawberry Smoothies: One of my kids’ favorite breakfast or lunchtime treats.
