Striped Pasta with Tomato Sauce

Are you looking to add a little whimsy to lunch/dinner? This striped pasta is not only fun but it’s also delicious. It’s called Mother In Law’s Tongue, it’s all natural and 100 percent handmade. Each color is a flavor, yellow is turmeric, orange is paprika, violet is beet, green is spinach and red is tomato. I found mine at World Market but you can also find it online through many retailers. Because the pasta is so flavorful, I think it’s best suited with a simple tomato sauce.


Striped Pasta with Tomato Sauce
What you’ll need:
8.8 ounces Mother In Law’s Tongue Pasta
salt
Tomato Sauce

What to do:
1. Prepare simple tomato sauce (or substitute good quality jarred tomato sauce).

2. Bring 3 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and 1 tablespoon salt. Stir.

3. Reduce heat and cook at a slow boil until pasta is al dente (approximately 10 minutes)

4. Drain, toss pasta with sauce.
