Summer Beach Photos with Your FamilyKelsey Banfield
If there is one thing I love to do nearly as much as swim at the beach it is take photos. I love playing with the light, taking backlit photos of my daughter and trying to capture photos of her latest sandcastle. When I am done taking my photos I always develop them and put them in a large photo album. I also think this year I am going to try the new Wendy’s scrapbooking app to make insta-albums to hand out to friends and family.
Here are a few of my tips for taking great beach photos with your family:
1) Sunlight: The light can be harsh on the beach so try to get it at an angle to your subject. If it is shining directly on their face it can wash a person out very quickly.
2) Texture: Sand, shells and water create wonderful textures on film. Try to lean in close to capture all the great particles of sand and froths in the waves.
3) Action: Taking action photos of kids running around is always my favorite. Set a fast shutter speed so the photos aren’t blurry.
