Summertime Starfruit SparklerBrooke McLay
With the heat of August pounding it’s way all over my final few days of summer, I thought it was high time I nab my kidlets and whisk them into the shade with a refreshing, sparkly tropical cooler that also happens to be totally family friendly. Made with just a few simple ingredients and lots of fresh fruit, this drink is reminiscent of Sangria, without the wine. If you’d like to whip up a pitcher for the grownups, simple replace half of the juice with a sweet white wine for a perfectly delicious summertime drink!
Summertime Starfruit Sparkler
- 2 starfruit, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 1 cup raspberries or cranberries
- 1/2 pitcher tropical juice (orange pineapple will also work)
- 1/2 pitcher of ginger ale
- lots of good-quality ice
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Serve immediately in tall glasses, garnished with mint sprigs, if desired!
