It’s grilling season, and we’ve been firing up our grill almost every weekend, and some during the week too. I make burgers about once a week, and love to change them up by adding different flavors and toppings. For these Asian inspired teriyaki burgers, I added teriyaki and soy sauce to the ground meat, along with a few other spices. I topped my burgers with grilled pineapple and red onion. They were so good. You could also use canned pineapple slices as a shortcut if you like. To core our fresh pineapple slices, I called my husband to the kitchen to “MacGyver” it. He used a 2 liter soda bottle cap to core my slices. A pairing knife might be easier though if you don’t have a fancy pineapple corer.
