I am constantly in the kitchen surrounded by my four kids, each one wanting to pour, mix, stir or whip. It’s great fun at times, and it’s stressful at other times, but more important than anything, it’s a great experience to get them in there interacting with their food, learning how to prepare it and becoming well-rounded little chefs.
Seeing as how we spend so much time in the kitchen together, I’m always looking for products that make the experience more enjoyable or fun for the kids to keep them engaged and interested in what we’re doing. While I find some of those items scouring the web and browsing my favorite kitchen stores, it’s always nice to have someone else do the legwork for me. Someone like my friends here at Babble.
Babble recently covered this topic in depth in their Babble Best: Kitchen Tools for Kids article, with fantastic options like the Fabrikators Toddlers Flatware (pictured above), which would be perfect for clumsy little hands just learning to grasp and scoop.
The guitar-shaped cutting board is so much fun, and it’s sure to get the attention of my musician-in-training as he chops vegetables for me. There are so many more fantastic product reviews like rolling pins with adjustable thickness to make rolling cookie dough and pie crusts simple, even for tiny tots.
Do you have any favorite kitchen gadgets that your kids use when they’re helping you in the kitchen?
