The Simplest Way to Roast Your Thanksgiving Turkey

Photo: Aimee Wimbush-Bourque of Simple Bites

There are thousands of resources out there for those looking to roast the perfect turkey today. Between moms, grandmas, books and websites, there’s plenty of advice for anyone doing it for the first time or seeking a refresher. But here’s the thing: Aimee Wimbush-Bourque of Simple Bites has been to Turkey Boot Camp. In the span of one summer, she and a team of chefs cooked twenty-two turkeys! I can’t think of anyone better to turn to for advice.

Good news: Aimee’s roast turkey is one thing: simple.

It’s un-stuffed and un-trussed; she doesn’t brine or baste. She keeps her cooking time shorter than most, and lengthens the resting period. The result is a perfectly golden, moist turkey that is relatively hassle-free. Which is really what everyone wants on Thanksgiving, isn’t it?

From thawing to roasting to resting, Aimee has a super tutorial – everything you need to know to roast a great turkey – over at Simple Bites.
