This romantic classic makes a glass of bubbly even more festive! Perfect for a romantic evening or toasting to the new year, this cocktail is wonderful when made with Prosecco, which is an inexpensive, yet delicious sparkling wine from Italy.
5 sugar cubes
1 bottle Brut Champagne, sub any dry sparkling wine or Prosecco
10 dashs Angostura bitters, add more to taste
5 strips lemon zest, twisted in a spiral as a garnish (optional)
1. Place one sugar cube in 5 coupe glasses or champagne flutes.
2. Shake 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters over each cube.
3. Top with Champagne, garnish with a twist of lemon, and serve immediately.
