Who: Aran Goyoaga, Basque ex-pat mother of son, Jon, and daughter, Miren
Why we love this blog: Le sigh … this blog (and book) are absolutely exquisite in taste, look and writing style. Hailing from Basque originally, Goyoaga draws much of her culinary inspiration from Europe but applies a gluten-free slant. Cannelle et vanille routinely makes our top food blog list because of Goyoaga’s knack for whipping up creations like lobster and fennel stew that hit the spot every time. In fact, she might be the only person on the web who can sell us on the idea of ice cream for breakfast. Incredible photography doesn’t hurt, either; the images accompanying Goyoaga’s dishes are just as tasty as the food itself.
