Dinner wouldn’t be nearly as fun without these culinary pioneers to blaze the trail. This year’s list of food blogging mamas, curated with the help of our esteemed panel, includes both internet superstars and virtual unknowns, amateurs and James Beard Award-winning chefs. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, but all will make you hungry for more innovative meal ideas. You’ll find no shortage of healthy recipes, genius cooking shortcuts, or quick dinners for those nights when you’re just too tired to spend hours in the kitchen. 79. Eating Made Easy
- # 2 Health-conscious
Who: Amelia Winslow, a mother of one living in Hermosa Beach, California
Why we love this blog: As a nutritionist and chef, Winslow evaluates both the science and taste sides of food to help families figure out what’s really healthy. There are lots of recipes on the site, even for foods like breads and desserts that typically aren’t so great for ye olde circulatory system, but there’s also a number of posts on topics like the great debate between butter versus margarine and whether artificial sweeteners really are better for you than sugar. Eating Made Easy also has a robust weight loss section, but our favorite category by far is Food Myths, which gives readers the low down on everything from yogurt-covered raisins to organic eggs.
