Dinner wouldn’t be nearly as fun without these culinary pioneers to blaze the trail. This year’s list of food blogging mamas, curated with the help of our esteemed panel, includes both internet superstars and virtual unknowns, amateurs and James Beard Award-winning chefs. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, but all will make you hungry for more innovative meal ideas. 55. Geez Louise
Who: Louise Mellor, a mother of four in Southern California
Why we love this blog: Personal chef and food stylist Louise Mellor is bringing her French-chef training to a computer screen near you, and we’re all better for it. Billed as “a modern-day June Cleaver with a dash of Lucille Ball,” Mellor actually has the kitchen know-how and an ability to connect with amateur cooks that her mid-century counterparts could only dream of. This blog has a nice mix of old favorites and new dishes, like olive oil cake with plum cherries and almond cream. Mellor also sprinkles her blog with video tutorials on topics like food styling, roasting garlic, and epicurean trips.
