Dinner wouldn’t be nearly as fun without these culinary pioneers to blaze the trail. This year’s list of food blogging mamas, curated with the help of our esteemed panel, includes both internet superstars and virtual unknowns, amateurs and James Beard Award-winning chefs. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, but all will make you hungry for more innovative meal ideas. You’ll find no shortage of healthy recipes, genius cooking shortcuts, or quick dinners for those nights when you’re just too tired to spend hours in the kitchen. Our hats are off to these top chefs who work hard to make mealtime memorable — and easy — for busy parents everywhere.— Chris Couchsee the full list »

Who: Emma Galloway, a mom of two in Perth, Australia
Why we love this blog: When mom and both of her children all have food allergies, what’s a former chef to do? Create a blog for gluten- and lactose-intolerant foodies of course! Galloway’s vegetarian blog is packed with farm-to-table vegetarian recipes, many of which can be made in vegan, dairy-free or sugar-free varieties. We especially love that sweets are a mainstay on My Darling Lemon Thyme. For kids (and adults) who miss out on bakery goodies and class birthday party staples, treats like gluten-free chocolate spider web cake and sugar-, gluten- and lactose-free mango yogurt popsicles are a tasty reprieve.
