There are some things in life that are just worth making the extra effort to get to experience. An example of this would be a recent farm-to-table dinner I attended. Not only was this a farm-served dinner with sustainable and local food hosted by Scott Pampuch of Tour de Farm fame, but he was hosting the Celebrity Chef Tour.
The chance to be served by not only Scott, but also Tim McKee of La Belle Vie and the best chef in the Midwest James Beard award winner, Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods, Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl pairing the wine (both are also James Beard winners) and National Geographic Fellow Barton Seaver was not one to turn down. So, I headed out to Star Prairie Trout Farm – perfect when you’re hosting chefs dedicated to seafood sustainability – for a dinner I won’t soon forget.
