Vanilla Ice Cream Drowned in Espresso: Affogato

By bellalimento |

Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? I’m thrilled because I’m all for any reason to enjoy ice cream! Here’s an Italian after dinner ice cream treat that has an added zing for the adults with the addition of Amaretto di Saronno. Affogato means “drowned” in Italian which is exactly what this is: vanilla ice cream drowned in espresso with a kick!

When you want to make your own, you can find my RECIPE HERE.
