ikeabowlLike most people who are into food, I love going to specialty stores and farmer’s markets to let the meat and produce inspire dinner ideas. But sometimes, inspiration can strike at stranger places —like Ikea. A few weeks ago, I came across this glass bowl that was practically begging for some kind of berry trifle. But I feel like it is rich with promise for some kind of dramatic family dinner piece de resistence. Is there such a thing as a savory trifle? Does anyone have one of those 18-layer salad recipes that is actually good enough to consume? I’m stuck. — Jenny
