Which Carbs Are Best For You

The whole “good carb vs bad carb” debate can be so confusing. One minute we are being told carbs make us fat, the next minute carbs are our friends. It can be so frustrating for the health conscious individual to get the right information about what they should be eating and how much.

Truth be told, most carbs are good for us. Our bodies need right kind of carbs to burn energy. Now, there are obvious carbs that we should consume sparingly – white breads, white pasta, sugar, sweets and desserts – also known as refined carbs. The carbs that we should focus on are chock full of fiber, nutrients and vitamins, all things your body needs to function at its highest level. These can be found in various fruits, vegetable, legumes and whole grains and should be part of your daily diet.
