10 Celeb Moms Who Looked Like Real Women After Giving Birth (Photos)

Amy Adams did not shed her baby weight right away.

Earlier today, I posted a slideshow of 10 celebrity moms who painted a true picture of the experience of pregnancy. I thought it was only fitting to follow up with photos of 10 famous mamas who looked like real women right after giving birth. Often times, women in Hollywood seem perfect, but as you will see in these photos, many of them had to work very hard to get camera ready after delivering their children.

Pregnancy really takes its toll on a woman’s body, and the aftermath is often not what we expected. I actually know quite a few women who packed their regular clothes in their hospital bags thinking that they’d be wearing them home! There are a select few new moms who are lucky enough to drop all of their post-baby pounds right away, but the majority of us still carry extra weight for months after giving birth.

Amy Adams is one celeb mom who was never shy about admitting that she had quite a bit of baby weight to lose. I remember reading an interview with her after she had her daughter, and she said that she really wasn’t concerned with her body at that time. She was more concerned with taking care of her baby, and getting to know her.

Take a look at our slideshow of other celeb moms who looked like real women post-partum. Theses photos are a mixture of brand new moms, like Pink, and moms like Gwen Stefani who look much different now than right after they had their babies!

Hurrah for NORMAL mama’s! This is important for other mama’s to see. Celebrity images of skinny mama’s IS depressing – this is a refreshing change!

  2. Rina says:

What’s your fucking point. At first I thought you were presenting natural beauty of a normal kind, but your captions a really rude. Disappointed!

  3. Michele says:

I have to say that this article is not very “pro-women”. Why point out who did and did not lose weight quickly. This is the whole problem. We feel it is okay to showcase someone’s weight (or quick lose of weight) and then we wonder why teen girls are so mean to each other…because you can so easily just write this article and captions.

  4. Michele says:

I agree with Rina. The tone of this post seems to be jibing at these mothers for not looking like fake, plastic movie stars immediately after giving birth. All I can say is thank God I’m not famous. It would suck to be subjected to such shallow, demeaning standards.

  5. kayare says:

Thing is, these women are all beautiful even carrying a few “extra” pounds. They may be heavier than before they were pregnant, but seeing any of them on the street a few months post-baby, you’d never know they were “supposed” to be thinner!

  6. Jen C says:

Is this supposed to make real moms feel better by putting down celebs? Well, it doesn’t make me feel any better, it’s just mean spirited. Besides, several of these mom’s are in no way overweight, just wearing baggy clothes. And if they are carrying around extra pounds, who cares?

  7. Diana Thibodeaux says:

I think the reason how so many celebs “lose” weight so quickly is plastic surgery. Tummy tucks right after given birth.
