10 Celebrities We Can Expect Big Things from in 2014

Sure, 2013 has been a very exciting year for celebrities and the entertainment world, but something tells me that 2014 is going to be even bigger, better, and faster. With so many talented actors, musicians, authors and artists making their way on the map, we’ve got a lot to look forward to in the year ahead!

From New Zealand singer Lorde to Angelina Jolie’s daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, there will be a lot of new names to remember and watch out for in the coming months. As with everything that begins during each new calendar year, it’s out with the old (Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Selena Gomez) and in with the new (Dakota Johnson, Ariana Grande, and so many more). Check out our photo gallery of the top ten artists who might make 2014 their year to shine and let us know what you think. Did we miss any of your favorites? If so, let us know!

  • Cameron Diaz | The Body Book 2 of 11
Cameron Diaz on the set of 'Good Morning America' in New York City

I know what you're thinking: Cameron Diaz? What is she doing on this list? Well, if you've picked up her latest book, The Body Book, you'll know why. I have a feeling that her book will do wonders for her career and status the same way Goop has put Gwyneth Paltrow back on the celebrity map. I just love how refreshingly honest Cameron Diaz is about her looks and her body and how she's giving her fans the real deal with advice that we can use and apply to our own lives. This year is going to be big for our homegirl as she becomes more than just a familiar name, but a familiar brand, too.

  • Dakota Johnson | 50 Shades of Grey 3 of 11
Dakota Johnson is all bundled up as she gives a wave after filming a scene for '50 Shades of Grey' in Vancouver

She's got the famous parents, she lives in the right zip code and she's got the connections that thousands of aspiring actresses wish they had. But does she have what it takes to become an A-list movie star? Here's hoping Dakota Johnson proves all of her critics wrong as she paves her way to stardom in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey.

  • Jamie Dornan | 50 Shades of Grey 4 of 11
Jamie Dornan arrives at the Your Moment Is Waiting launch party held at The Saatchi Gallery in London

Aw, they sure do make them pretty in Great Britain, don't they? Jamie Dornan will be making Christian Grey fans swoon, sizzle, or maybe slump with embarrassment in the highly anticipated film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey, which doesn't hit theaters until 2015. In the meantime, can we just get as many photo ops as possible?

  • Elizabeth Olsen | Godzilla 5 of 11

She already has the name recognition and has been called the "Indie Goddess" of our generation. This year, she stars in the much buzzed-about Godzilla reboot, and the odds are good that this monster movie could bring her some major attention.

  • Vivienne Jolie-Pitt | Maleficent 6 of 11
Angelina Jolie takes her daughters Shiloh and Vivienne pottery painting at Fox Studios in Sydney

No, we're not talking about Angelina Jolie being a breakout star here. Let's be real, Angelina has been A-list material for decades now. Instead, the focus this year is going to be on her daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who has a part in her mother's highly-anticipated film, Maleficent. We can't wait to see her make her big screen debut!

  • Kaley Cuoco | A Favorite of the Paparazzi 7 of 11
Kaley Cuoco attends The Fourth-Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park in California

Now, I know that Kaley Cuoco has been around forever as she's one of the stars of The Big Bang Theory, but something tells me that homegirl is going to have HER year in 2014. I mean, the paparazzi have been following her everywhere for the past six months (all thanks to her short-lived romance with Henry Cavill) and her highly publicized wedding to tennis ace Ryan Sweeting. Do we have the next Jennifer Aniston in the making here? I sure think so.

  • Michael B. Jordan | That Awkward Moment 8 of 11
Michael B. Jordan arrives at the LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala at LACMA in Los Angeles

Michael B. Jordan (that B. in the middle there is very important for distinguishing purposes) is going to have a fab year in 2014. First up, he's co-starring with Zac Efron in the highly anticipated That Awkward Moment, which hits theaters in late January. Watch this space, people.

  • Ariana Grande | The Next Mariah Carey? 9 of 11
Ariana Grande in the press room at the 2013 American Music Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles

Now, Ariana Grande might be a household name in some households, but something tells me that she might finally receive that Selena Gomez-type status this year. (And you all know that happens when your grandparents start recognizing her name, although they have no clue what she sings.) The Boca Raton-native has the voice of an angel and if you ask me, she might just be the next Mariah Carey.

  • Lorde | Breakout Hit "Loyals" 10 of 11
Singer Lorde attends the 27th Annual ARIA Awards 2013 at The Star in Sydney

Lorde has ruled the airways for the past few months with her breakout hit "Loyals," and I have a feeling that this New Zealand-native is going to be showing us even more of her talents in 2014.

  • Benedict Cumberbatch | Sherlock 11 of 11
Celebrities attend the Los Angeles Premiere Of Warner Bros' 'The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug' at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood

Now, I know that Benedict Cumberbatch has been the "It" boy for a few years now, and he has a huge following on Tumblr, but he's not exactly what you call a household name. He's my wild card here as I really, truly do think that he will be yet another breakout star for 2014 (or even 2015) as more and more people realize how awesome he is in the BBC's version of Sherlock. Here's hoping!
