10 Things You Didn’t Know About Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Engagement (Photos)

Unless you have been living under a rock, you already know that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have gotten engaged. Yes, the two uber-celebrities will be tying the knot. This is the third marriage for Kim, so let’s hope that the third time is a charm, at least for their daughter North West’s sake!

And Kanye West made an interesting choice in venue for popping the question. It wasn’t Paris, it wasn’t Rome, it wasn’t Beverly Hills. Rather, he asked Kim Kardashian to marry him at AT&T Park in San Francisco, my hometown. Yes, it was quite a surprise for Kim AND the rest of us!

    The ring was designed by Lorraine Schwartz, a Kardashian pal and premiere jewelry designer. And this ring? It is not just a ring — it is a ROCK and features a 15-carat diamond.

  • Her Friends Were Flown In 2 of 10

    Kim Kardashian's friends were all in attendance, having been flown up to San Francisco for the big day. And it was a chilly evening in San Francisco on Monday night, as you can tell by Kim's posture. And being that AT&T Park is right along the bay, it can get really chilly.

  • A Busy Day for Kanye 3 of 10

    Earlier in the evening, that SAME evening, Kanye was in LA at the Hollywood Film Awards Gala giving out the first award of the evening to director Steve McQueen for his film 12 Years a Slave. He then rushed from the event to fly up to San Francisco for the big engagement, but it sounds like he was cutting it close.

    The family was also there, of course. Here is Kourtney with Jonathan Cheban. Khloe wrote on her Twitter account,"Wow!!!!! Am I dreaming??!?!" She also wrote, "Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!"

    Kanye flew in the Chicago Symphony orchestra  — a 50 piece orchestra — to play at the engagement. They played Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" from the Great Gatsby soundtrack. You can hear the song here. They also played the Keri Hilson (ft. Kanye) track "Knock You Down."

Kris Jenner wrote. Some of the people in attendance included: Robin Antin (of Pussycat Dolls fame), Kardashian cousin Cici Bussey, Alison Pincus of One Kings Lane, and Rushka Bergman, a contributing fashion editor for L'Uomo Vogue and Vogue Italia. Also there were various Silicon Valley types, since they were in the hood!
