The 2010 Emmys offered up plenty of opportunities for best and worst dressed lists, but what about the best/worst dressed moms at the Emmy Awards? Check out pictures of our picks for the hits and misses, that include Tina Fey, Kyra Sedgwick and Kate Gosselin.
First up, is Susan Sarandon, pictured here with her daughter. Sarandon is a woman of a certain age who looks absolutely spectacular. Her Emmys 2010 black gown was the perfect choice for Susan, clinging to her amazing curves, while lending just the right amount of sparkle. Bonus points for showing off shoulders, without going overboard.
Jane lynch Maybe it’s because we’re used to seeing her in tracksuits on Glee, but Jane Lynch was one of the best dressed moms of the night. The color and style of the dress was a perfect fit for the radiant Lynch, who included her new wife’s daughter in her acceptance speech. I love seeing this different side of Jane Lynch… so much softer than that grouchy Sue Sylvester!
We love the color and style of Kyra Sedgwick’s gown (seriously, was there a better color on this year’s red carpet?) and think the jewelry is pitch perfect, but we wish the hair was a little more polished.
Tina Fey takes our award for the dress that has grown on us the most. At first glance, we weren’t fans, but the shape really flatters her, the hair and makeup are a hit and well… the dress embellishment is busy, but not too out of control.
Mama Keri Russell’s pink dress seemed to miss the mark – in part because Keri doesn’t have the cleavage to pull of the plunging neckline. We weren’t huge fans of the pleats and halter styling either.
Don’t get us started on why reality mom Kate Gosselin even gets to attend the glitzy Emmys, but let’s talk about that dress, okay? Picking black is safe, but that draping neckline is creating a glittery poof at her chest. And before we get too catty, let’s just make a quick jab at that robotic smile. Moving along…
We want to love Heidi Klum’s dress she looks absolutely fantastic, and has an amazing body, but it was just a little too short, with a little too much going on.
Glenn Close was at the awards show with her daughter, sporting this less than flattering dress the shape and color (what is that, olive?) were not fitting of Glenn’s greatness.
Who do you think was the Emmys best dressed mom? Who was the worst of the bunch?
