Now that this season of The Bachelorette is all wrapped up, and we know that Ali Fedotwosky chose Roberto over Chris (in a rather non-traditional fashion, too), we obviously are already thinking forward to the next season of The Bachelor. While Ali and Roberto enjoy their new life together, a new group of singles will get the chance to find what they did. We assume, per tradition, that ABC will choose one of the not-so-lucky-in-love guys from Ali’s season to be their next guy 25 women will fawn and fight over. Here’s our list of five potentials not picked by Ali who we think would make a good bachelor.
We’re pretty sure hearts broke all over America when Ali let Chris go prior to their last date and the final rose ceremony–how could you resist tears when looking into his horribly sad eyes? We definitely think Chris is the front-runner for the next season of The Bachelor–he was the heart-broken runner up and admitted to host Chris Harrison he is ready to dive back in and find love. He’s the epitome of a sensitive family man looking for a wife. And we definitely wouldn’t mind watching him for another whole season.
Jonathan, aka Weatherman
Okay, so pretty much the only reason we want to see Jonathan as the next Bachelor is because he’ll bring a highly entertaining level of male emotion and sensitivity. Who can forget when he cried out of nervousness while shooting a music video with Ali? We’re confident if he was on the next season, every episode would bring a new flood of tears for various interesting reasons–but then again, maybe we’d get a bit tired of that.
The lawyer, who made it relatively far vying for Ali’s love–at least to the oil wrestling episode–seems to be the perfect blend of down-to-earth and confident. We almost felt bad for him watching him have to oil wrestle with all those, well, more sculpted guys–but it just made him that much more endearing. Plus, he’s a smart lawyer who is well-spoken and easy-going–the girls on the show and those watching from their living rooms would surely fall for that.
Continue after the jump for our other two picks.
Okay, we admit: We were pretty creeped out by his dad’s taxidermy collection, and the weird way he beckoned Ali to the basement to take a look at it. But, aside from that, we definitely formed a soft spot in our hearts for Kirk, the nice Midwesterner who’s been through his fair share of hardship (life-threatening illness, hello?). Though the 27-year-old sales consultant hasn’t had too many serious relationships, we believe he’s ready to settle down–he just has this aura of honesty about him, and we’re digging it.
This guy was mainly in the shadows for a good part of the season, but we fell for him when he serenaded Ali with that song from The Lion King–and was actually on-key. After cringing through all the other guys’ performances, we swooned when we heard Jesse’s smooth voice. Plus, he’s super good looking and seems light-hearted and fun–a perfect combo for the next Bachelor.
