5 Reasons It Must Suck To Be Heidi Montags Mom

As a loving mother, there are several things that I don’t want my daughter to grow up to be. I don’t want her to end up as a serial killer, a hooker or Heidi Montag. Whenever I get wind of any of Heidi Montag/Pratt and hubby Spencer’s shenanigans, my thoughts, for some reason, go to Heidi’s mom and what that poor woman must be going through.  Here are five reasons why it would suck to be Heidi Montag’s mom.

1. The plastic surgery.

As a parent, it seems like it would be hard to not take your child’s plastic surgery personally. You made them. Those are your genes. Maybe it’s your nose, your chin or your boobs. And what do they want to do? They want to spend a ton of money, endure a ton of pain to change what you made. Heidi got ten plastic surgeries in one day. A move that was not met with approval by her mother. On the Hills, Heidi showed off her new look to her mother asking, “Are you telling me you don’t think I look good?” Her mom shook her head slightly, then said, “I felt that you were much more beautiful before.”

2. The husband.
Now usually you are not given the option of choosing your daughter’s spouse, at least not in this culture. But if Heidi’s mom had a short list of who she wouldn’t want to marry her daughter, I’m sure Spencer would be on the top of the list. His Svengali like influence on Heidi is blatantly apparent and he has never shown Heidi’s parents the respect they deserve. Us Weekly talked to a source about Spencer who said that Heidi’s parents, “noticed him changing two years ago and stayed by his side. But now it’s too much.”. The continued saying, “They even took the pictures of him out of their home.”

3. The cameras
Having your child sign away their name, their image and their privacy to be on a reality TV show must be hard to endure. Having your own flesh and blood airing all their dirty laundry and very personal moments for all to see must be a shock for this once private family. And Heidi’s family, her mom, dad, stepdad and sister have all been dragged into the fray.

4. The drama.
Now, if you don’t want to talk to your mom, you find ways to avoid her. But calling the cops? That’s a bit extreme. Heidi told People, “My mom showed up unannounced to my house when she knows I have no interest in seeing or talking with her.” She now apparently wants a restraining order against her. Yeah, that’s an extreme reaction. But I wonder how much of that was for the ever-present cameras?

5. Pushing away family.
You only get one family. You may not always get along with, or even like them, but odds are they will always be there for you. But Heidi is doing her best to push her family away. Not just calling the cops because her mom tried to pay her a visit, but she’s alienating her rancher father too.
“Why would they call the police on Heidi’s mom, she is not a threat, it makes absolutely no sense, they need to show more respect,” he told RadarOnline.com. “My daughter used to phone me several times a week but we have not spoken since my birthday.” He continued to tell Radaronline that, “Family is very important because this fame thing will not last forever so she should not push us away because we will always love her. Darlene is Heidi’s mom so whatever issues they might have they need to talk about them and not call the police, that’s just ridiculous.”
