Robert Downey Jr. let the cat out of the bag. Okay, not an actual cat, and nothing actually was pulled from a sack…Robert Downey Jr. blurted out the gender of his baby-to-be while visiting Jay Leno.

Instead of playing coy and not giving up what he and wife Susan Downey are having, he shared with Leno, the audience and the world that they will be welcoming a boy this February.  Yes, a boy! And a baby boy seems like a perfect fit for Robert Downey Jr.. Why? Here are 5 reasons.

Robert Downey Jr. will get to right the wrongs his own father did. The two had a destructive relationship with his own father sharing drugs with him at a young age. He'll be able to learn from that painful period and be a more responsible parent for his own son.
