Today is a special day, a day when you can go off on a wonderful journey. A journey you have probably taken before but a trip that is still wonderful no matter how many times you go, but this time the adventure will be better than ever. I am talking about a trip to Neverland.
On February 5th Disney released the Peter Pan Diamond Edition, a brand new release “from the Disney vault.”
Personally, I was extremely excited to hear this. Our own copy was unplayable after so many viewing and mistreatment of the DVD by my first grader (the time she tried to use DVDs as “ice skates” comes to mind). But besides that, there are many other reasons why I was excited about this new version. Here are 5 reasons to buy the new Peter Pan DVD.

The Added Fun Stuff! 1 of 5The DVD comes with some extra goodies which makes movie time even more fun. There are games such as "Hunt for Peter's Pan Shadow," "Spot the Doubloon," and "Read Smoke Signals," to keep your kids even more entertained. Plus there a special "intermission" feature which offers some surprises!
Deleted Scenes and Songs 2 of 5There are some very interested deleted scenes on the DVD such as a whole different ending, a different way the kids arrive and even two deleted songs, I love the "Never Smile at a Crocodile," one!
Enhanced! 3 of 5One thing about this one, it looks GORGEOUS. It also was released as a Blu-Ray so you can watch it in the best way possible.
Nine Old Men 4 of 5Included on the DVD is a fantastic short documentary paying tribute to the Nine Old Men, the animators who created the magic.
Have a Peter Pan Party! 5 of 5A great way to celebrate bringing home the new DVD? Have a Peter Pan party! The kind folks at Disney's PR company sent us this party kit to get us started and to inspire your own. First have everyone dress up in night shirts (just like John and Michael), maybe pick up a top hat or two, and an umbrella for a little "follow the leader." Have popcorn, heat up some chicken tenders (but joke that they are crocodile), and, most importantly, enjoy the movie be it the first time or your fiftieth!
