5 Things About Trace Cyrus (Other Than He's Miley's Big Brother)

trace cyrusWhile Miley might be the most famous of the Cyrus clan (no offense Billy Ray) another of the Cyrus kids is getting his shot at his own TV show. We reported earlier that both Billy Ray Cyrus and his son, Trace is teaming up with Syfy and Peacock Productions to host a weekly television show about paranormal activity and conspiracy theories. Sounds interesting but while we know more than we care to about Miley, we don’t know a lot about Trace. Here are a few interesting tidbits about one of the other Cyrus kids.

He is also a Musician
Trace, who was born in 1989, was a member of the band Metro Station before they recently broke up. In addition to playing guitar and singing, he is also a songwriter.
Billy Ray Adopted Him
Trace is the son of Cyrus’s wife, Tish. Billy Ray and Tish married in 1982 1992 (sorry – typo!) and Cyrus proceeded to adopt Tish’s 2 children Trace and older sister Brandi. Billy Ray and Tish had 3 children together, Miley, Braison and Noah.
His Band Had a Hannah Montana Connection
Cyrus started his band, Metro Station, with Mason Musso in early 2006. Musso’s brother, Mitchel, plays Oliver , Hannah’s best guy friend, on Hannah Montana. Their mothers coordinated a jam session for them which led to the creation of the band.
He’s Started a New Band
Trace started a new band called Ashland High,a solo endeavor after Metro Station broke up. He sings and plays guitar in the band and has taken to his twitter account to post that the band will soon be performing live shows in the LA area.
He Also Has His Own Clothing Line
Well, it seems that everyone has their own clothing line these days! And Trace is no exception! His clothing line Southern Made Hollywood Plaid was created by Trace in 2009, and is an extension of himself. He states, on the company website, that the brand says a lot about himself, his life and his story.
