6 Things About Emily Maynard aka the Future Mrs. Brad Womack?

Emily Maynard

Emily Maynard may just become Mrs. Brad Womack, that is if those two crazy kids can make it to the alter.

So besides being the last girl standing on The Bachelor 2011, who is Emily Maynard?

Here are 6 things about the winner of The Bachelor’s heart.

Emily was engaged to the NASCAR race car driver Ricky Hendrick but he died in a horrible plane crash back in 2004. She had reportedly been with Ricky since she was 15-years-old. After his death, Emily discovered she was pregnant with his child, she was just 19 at the time.

Her fiance’s father was thrilled about the news of Emily’s pregnancy saying, “”Emily came over to the house the night after the memorial service and told us [Hendrick and his wife, Linda] she was pregnant,” Hendrick said. “At the lowest time of our life, it was like a miracle that happened for us because we get a chance to have a piece of Ricky left.” He added, “I can’t describe how happy and how excited we are,” Hendrick said. “We can’t wait to see that baby’s eyes. When she told us, it was hard to even believe. It was like God had given us back something. We had lost so much.”

The Bachelor isn’t the first time Emily was in front of the cameras.  First she did a bit of podcast work for a show for the Speed Channel  called Emily on the Scene. Then, she was a  host of a behind the scene racing program called Three Wide Life.

Most recently Emily has been working as a event coordinator for the Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, which features the Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care, a pediatric ICU that was built with the help of a $3 million dollar donation from Ricky Hendricks mom and dad.

Emily also has been romantically tied to another racer, Dale Earnhardt Jr. although they never “officially declared themselves a couple.”

Emily has two tattoos. One is on her wrist, the other is behind her ear.
