9 Things to Do During the Monstrous Summer at Disneyland and Disney World

Looking for something fun to do this summer? Of course you are! One place where a good time is guaranteed for all is at Disneyland of Disney World. Really, you can not go wrong with a trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” And you know what? Disney Parks has upped the ante and created some new, unique and improved experiences for the whole family just in time for summer. Check out these 9 things to do during Disney’s Monstrous Summer!   • It’s a Disney Summer! 1 of 10
  • Monstrous 24-Hour "All-Nighter" 2 of 10

    Now this will be a party you will NOT want to miss, the Monstrous 24-Hour "All-Nighter.' Starting at 6:00 on May 24th, Disneyland, California Adventure and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World will be open for 24 full hours. Yes, that's 24 hours of sun, fun, rides, and more. Plus there will be all sorts of extra Monstrous magic from Mike and Sulley of Monster University being on hand to the Monsters taking over the Pixar parade at California Adventure.  You can find out more about the Monstrous 24-Hour "All-Nighter" right here.

  • New Fantasyland 3 of 10

    The summer is the perfect time to check out the new Fantasyland at Walt Disney World. Dine at the beautiful Be Our Guest restaurant, explore the Enchanted Forest or play in the Storybook Circus, there is so much to do and to see in new Fantasyland!

  • Fantasy Faire in Disneyland 4 of 10

    The Disney princesses in Disneyland have a glorious new home, right next to Sleeping Beauty's castle. Frolic along the cobble stone streets and head to the Royal Hall where you can meet Belle, Snow White, Aurora and the rest of the princesses plus you can check out two new shoes in the Royal Theater.

  • Mickey’s Magical Map 6 of 10

    Disneyland's new big show - "Mickey and the Magical Map" - will be opening in the Fantasyland Theater on May 25th, just in time for summer. This brand new event "will present Mickey Mouse in his timeless role as the sorcerer's apprentice, " while Sorcerer Yen Sid "sets his Mapmakers to work and this ensemble cast of performers paints a wondrous map capable of taking dreamers to any place imaginable and so large it spans the entire stage." Yup, sound epic and magical!

    Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have both been updated, just in time for summer. It's a great place to not just cool off, but to have the most "splashtacular" time ever!


  • Test Track 8 of 10

    One of the most popular rides in Disney World is about to get even more popular! The Epcot attraction, Test Track® Presented by Chevrolet®, has been "recently reimagined," and has reopened to rave reviews. I think it's time to buckle up and go for a spin.

    It's time to embrace a beloved American tradition;  it's time to go bowling! Downtown Disney was recently honored with the opening of Splitsville the deluxe bowling alley and eatery where you can feast on upscale cuisine while throwing a ball down a lane in hopes of getting a strike or two.

  • Visit Iron Man 10 of 10

    Did you see Iron Man 3? Did you love it? Of course you did.  If you want to pay Iron Man a visit then you've got to check out the Iron Man exhibit at Innoventions in Disneyland park

    Disneyland wrote, "Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries will give Disneyland park guests the chance to see Tony Stark's Hall of Armor, featuring Iron Man suits Mark I-VII the same suits featured in "Iron Man 3." And you will even be able to virtually "suit up," yourself! Through simulation technology, guests will be able to see what it's like to operate the latest pieces of the Mark 42 Iron Man armor, even getting the chance to test out its infamous repulsor blasts."
