Affordable And Chic: Shopping For Clothes At Target Saves On My Budget, But Not On Style (Photos)

Shopping At Target

The day the new Target Superstore opened in my hometown near Coral Springs, Fla. I was ecstatic. A department store full of great, affordable clothes, a huge selection of toys and home furnishings plus a grocery section with unbeatable places? It’s like I’ve found my home away from home and believe you me, that’s a home I visit at least twice a week!

What I love most about Target though is their great, stylish children’s clothing section. My children, and especially my 5-year-old daughter, requests that we always walk through the aisles just to see if anything new has come in to the store and when they see their favorite characters such as Elmo, the Disney Princesses, or Thomas the Train, they literally shriek for joy. And while they’re shrieking (and not in that annoying, loud sense no, not MY children, LOL), I get to at least enjoy that satisfying feeling knowing that I can buy my children the clothes they want to wear for their play dates and school without having to splurge. As any mother would a good eye on sales would know, children grow out of their clothes way too fast for us to spend money on something they would only wear for a few short months, if not weeks.

Do you keep your family festively stylish during the holidays? We’re giving away three $50 Target giftcards to brighten the season! To enter for a chance to win, simply comment on this post with a personal tip on how you dress your children conveniently — and with style — during the holidays!

What I love most about Target, is that they carry all the different brands my children love the most from Disney, to Sesame Street and even Marvel action heroes. And the best part is, it's affordable clothing that my children love to wear - my son can wear his Mater shirt on a daily basis if I allowed him to!

I can always count on Target for cute holiday clothing all year around. It's a tradition for my kids to pick out their favorite shirts for Halloween, Christmas and Easter every year.

Another reason why I love Target so much is because there are so many great designers that bring their collections to the store, including Gwen Stefani for Harajuku Mini. My daughter absolutely loved the clothes and wears it to pre-school to show off her new looks.

If you can't find what you're looking for, it's most likely in the clearance rack. And I'm not kidding when you can find some real great deals in them - sometimes I find shirts and pants for as low as $2!

Now that my daughter is almost 5 years old, she absolutely loves shopping for clothes with me and picking out her own styles. I don't even battle it out with her and have learned to trust her fashion instinct (after all, she got hers from me!).

A big thanks to Target for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
