Alicia Silverstone: Most Passionate Vegan Celeb Mom? (Photos)

alicia silverstone

Alicia Silverstone embraces her vegan lifestyle.

Alicia Silverstone is very well known for her role as ditzy yet lovable “Cher” in the movie Clueless, but she’s also made a huge name for herself as one of the most influential celebrities who follow a vegan lifestyle. In fact, Alicia may very well be the most passionate vegan celeb mom in Hollywood.

While vegetarians refrain from eating meat, vegans take things a step further and do not ingest or consume anything containing any sort of animal products. They definitely don’t eat meat, and they don’t eat dairy either.

Alicia insists that her vegan way of life has made her a better person, and she even wrote a book about it entitled, “The Kind Diet.”

To hear more reasons why Alicia Silverstone insists on leading a vegan lifestyle, take a look at the photos below with some of her quotes on the subject.

  • “Once people spend time with farm animals in a loving way … a pig or cow or a little chicken or a turkey, they might find they relate with them the same way they relate with dogs and cats. People don’t really think of them that way because they’re on the plate. Why should they be food when other animals are pets? I would never eat my doggies.” 2 of 8

  • “Nothing’s changed my life more. I feel better about myself as a person, being conscious and responsible for my actions and I lost weight and my skin cleared up and I got bright eyes and I just became stronger and healthier and happier. Can’t think of anything better in the world to be but be vegan.” 4 of 8

  • “I know what it feels like to be hurt, and I don’t want to cause that pain to any other person or creature. But somehow, in society, we numb ourselves in order to make money or to feel better about ourselves, such as with cosmetics or food. We say to ourselves, I’m going to use this animal. I’m going to say it doesn’t have much worth so that I can allow myself to do these cruel things. And that just isn’t fair.” 7 of 8
