Out of all the Teen Moms, Amber Portwood is the one who could carry her own show with all the drama she endures on and off camera. Just this past week along, Amber was in a car accident, sent back to jail, and realized she won’t spend Christmas with her daughter Leah.
Let’s rewind a little bit to last week when Portwood’s life started turning up bright. Indiana’s Child Protection Services had closed its investigation on whether or not the reality star was a fit mother. Gary was returned full custody of Leah and Amber was allowed visitation rights. All was okay in Amber’s world.
But then, things started turning for the worst. Amber was involved in a rear-end car accident on Thursday (Dec. 15) in Anderson, Ind. Portwood was at fault for following the 2003 Saturn S12 car too closely, which resulted in hitting the car with her 2005 Cadillac STS when the other driver decided to suddenly brake.
“This guy slammed on his brakes in front of me when I was on my way to see my mom. It barely scratched the car though,” Portwood tells E! News. “I wasn’t even going the full speed limit. I was slowing down and boom, he slammed on his brakes. I guess they missed their turn and stopped real fast to turn. It sucks.”
The damages are estimated to be $2,500.
As we reported yesterday (Dec. 19), Amber was sent back to jail after police searched her purse and found pills – breaking her probation from an August 2010 domestic violence incident.
And to make matters worse, Amber will not be released form prison until a January 13 hearing, canceling her plans to see Leah on Christmas. At the hearing, she could be sentenced to two years in jail for violating her probation.
Could Amber’s life get any worse?
