Wanna buy a piece of Golden Globes history while helping to fund the relief efforts in Haiti? Of course you do, but you probably can’t afford it. Still, we think its awesome that hard working mama Amy Poehler and a few of her Hollywood associates have decided to auction off their red carpet threads on eBay to help raise money for a great cause.
According to JustJared, Amy has donated her red carpet gown by designer Jay Godfrey (shown above), jewelry by Chopard, clutch by Judith Leiber, and shoes by Sergio Rossi — the whole shebang — to Artist for Peace and Justice, a charity made up of artists who believe in … well you get the idea.
Other superstars taking part in the auction (which is scheduled to hit the web on January 25th) are: Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Olivia Wilde, and Gerard Butler. Needless to say, there will be a few pricey artifacts up for grabs — even before they were worn on the red carpet by Hollywood royalty.
