Amy Winehouse's Passing Was A Loss, Leaving No Children May Be A Blessing (Photos)

amy winehouse, amy winehouse passes away

Amy Winehouse passed away on July 23, 2011.

The musical world was rocked today (July 23) with the tragic news of Amy Winehouse’s untimely passing. And while it is beyond words how her family must feel, we must say it eases our minds to know she didn’t have any children.

Winehouse battled a painful disease – addiction. And she fought the disease for many years. While her passing is still not determined, we wish to acknowledge the fact that she was an amazing talent and force to be reckoned with.

If Winehouse had had children, they would’ve grown up in the footsteps of Matilda Ledger and Frances Bean Cobain who lost their parents at a young age due the same disease.

We’ll never forget this legends music and her one-of-a-kind voice, but we’re happy that there are no children involved in this horrible situation.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Amy’s friends and family.

Check below for photos of Amy back in October 2010 during happier times.
