Anne Hathaway Goes Nude In 'Love and Other Drugs'

Former Disney princess Anne Hathaway will be starring in the upcoming film, Love and Other Drugs, with Jake Gyllenhaal. And with it she leaves her princess past behind her and becomes comfortable being nude.

“These are people who have no trouble taking their clothes off in a way their bodies are their currency,” the actress, 27, says of her nude scenes with Gyllenhaal. “But they’re terrified of exposing their vulnerability of becoming emotionally naked.”

And that’s exactly where Hathaway had to go for this film due out Nov. 24. The romantic comedy is built around trust in a relationship and Hathaway just recently ended a relationship, as featured in the press two years ago, that questioned her belief in trust.

“I was a wreck from start to finish,” she says. “I think I cried every single day … Gosh, I hate talking about the breakup, because I don’t want it to define me, but as is to be expected, there were a lot of lingering trust issues, and I think that making a film about trust that required a great deal of trust well, it was a challenge to get there.”

But it’s something she’s working on with her current beau, actor Adam Shulman, 29, who she was first spotted with in June 2009.

“When I begin a relationship, there’s that pressure to be the most, to be more comfortable and open than anyone else,” she says. “When you finally realize that you can just be your own scared, f-ked-up self and that you can still be sexy without trying to be, it’s such a great relief when uncondensed you is enough.”
