Ashlee Simpson: Motherhood Has Made Me Happy

Ashlee Simpson became a mom for the first time last November when she and husband Pete Wentz welcomed their son Bronx Mowgli.  She says motherhood has made her the happiest she has ever been.

Ashlee, 24, said she and Pete are so happy and love being parents to Bronx.

“Motherhood has made me everything that I am. It’s made me the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I don’t think you ever know until you have a child what an amazing experience it is.

“Every week, I’m learning something new from him and every week, he’s doing something new. He’s crawling and he’s got six teeth now. He says ‘mama’ and ‘dada’.

The singer/actress added, “Pete is my best friend.”

Ashlee said she feels lucky to be able to balance motherhood and work.  She will be starring in the new Melrose Place, which is a good fit for her family life.  She said, “For me, it’s good.  I’m home in Los Angeles, it’s comfortable with me and my son.  I like to work, so I get to do both.”

Sounds like Ashlee is in a good place.  Guess all that hoopla about an unhappy family life was nonsense.  *Whistles*
