In the wake of the tragic death of Rutgers freshman, Tyler Clementi, celebrities are speaking out against teen bullying. Ellen Degeneres was the first to admit that she was devastated and appalled at what happened to Tyler, and now others are following suit.
Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe recently said, “Learning about the suicide deaths of Tyler Clementi, Seth Walsh, Asher Walker, Billy Lucas and Justin Aaberg has been heartbreaking for me…We have a responsibility to be better to each other, and accept each others’ differences regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ability, or religion and stand up for someone when they’re bullied.”
In addition to Radcliffe, Ashley Tisdale and the rest of the cast of Hellcats made a video to speak out about the subject after hearing about 11-year old Tyler Wilson from Ohio, who was bullied after wanting to become a high school cheerleader. He suffered a broken arm after the incident.
