Awesome Access! Experience the Oscars with the Official Oscars App

oscar appOscar Sunday is almost upon us. The 85th Academy Awards will be happening on February 24th and it’s a day that so many of us movie fans can’t wait for. It’s a day to watch our favorite films, stars and movie-makers win the most coveted award in the land: the Oscar. And this year, we’ll be able to experience Oscar Sunday like never before with the Official Oscar app!

When using the app (available on iOS, Android and Kindle Fire), you’ll be able to get special “insider” views via their “Backstage Pass” with access to footage from over a dozen cameras streaming from the red carpet and backstage. These videos will be streamed live and will include a whole slew of moments you won’t be able to see on TV, like extended thank yous from the winners and the always entertaining press room. It’s a great way to complement the live telecast, giving you more than what the average viewer is seeing from the regular telecast. If you can’t wait for the “big day” you can also get exclusive content and news leading up to the Academy Awards. There is also added fun with checking on your own ballot with their “My Picks” app and you’ll be able to compare your picks it to your pals via Facebook to see who had the best guesses.
